At Spindlewood, our children climb trees, especially during our annual fall cider making get together.

They also help out in the garden.

And they make their own boats and sail them in the creek.

In the winter, we sled every day.

Every December, we host a Kinderfaire at the local Grange Hall.  The festivities often include a puppet show....

and a visit from St.  Nicholas.

Parents have fun, too.  In this case, making cider from our apples.  Spindlewood families get together several times each  year to work, play and celebrate with the children.

The frog pond is a favorite with most ofour children...

and so it using tools.  In this case, the children are making candleholders.  The first step is to cut a piece of birch about 2 inches  thick.
